Single and Multi-Skill Assessments are a great way to spot-check job-related skills for any users. Learn how to customize scoring, administer and review points for Skill Assessments.
With Skill Assessments, tracking staff compliance with on-job requirements and skills has never been easier. Each profile page is complete with the ability to assess one or multiple skills, and lists a comprehensive history of the same that can be reviewed anytime.
Scoring on Skill Assessments impact points in OneTeam360. This is configured in System Management, where Skill Categories are established and treated with a specified level of importance. For example, safety skills may be Very Important, but front-desk cash handling skills may be Somewhat Important, and so on. If any category marked as Extremely Important, skills in that category will make-or-break daily points, meaning a positive score on one of these skills will almost guarantee a point and negative scores will make it difficult for that user to earn a point.
Once the categories are established, Skills can be added from System Management as well. This is where you can specify which job types are available for assessments of an individual skill. Skills can include a written description, a PDF attachment, multiple images, and videos linked from an external site or uploaded from a computer.
With categories and individual skills added, Skill Assessments can be completed from a user's profile page. Skill Assessments are meant to be live spot-checks while a user is demonstrating skill(s) during their workday, or held in group training days across multiple skills and multiple users.
For single skills, the associated description, images and videos will be available for live-viewing. Scores are assigned live, and any skill with a Remediate grade can be re-tested anytime. Multi-Skill Assessments can also be completed from the Profile Page, or from the Skill Assessment page of the platform. This is ideal for reviewing multiple skills at once, and can include one or many users providing scores at once. Scores for any skill completed will be visible on the profile page, and every Skill Assessment is listed on the Skill Report screen where you can filter for a particular skill, user, time period, etc. and export as an Excel file for any of your external reporting needs.
Once scores are included for Skill Assessments and the points calculation time hits that day, the OneTeam360 scoring algorithm will review the previous 24-hour period for any new assessments. After combining and weighing the scores from each, a single positive/negative value will be assigned to Skills for that day and combined with any Interactions or Notes to determine whether users will receive a point for that day.
